Shelforce Tune in With Carl Chinn
On Sunday 1st August, Shelforce’s Andrew Fellows made their way to the Mailbox in Birmingham for an exciting interview with BBC Radio WM’s Carl Chinn.
Drawing on Chinn’s extensive knowledge of Birmingham’s local history, Andrew discussed the exciting changes taking place at Shelforce over the coming few years whilst also reflecting on Shelforce’s interesting history.
Dating back to the 1830’s, Shelforce has played a huge role in creating employment opportunities for people with disability, a role it continues to take very seriously today. Talking about their commitment to supporting those with disability, Chief Executive Andrew Fellows told listeners about how a focus on ability rather than disability had helped those who normally face the biggest barriers into work in finding employment, in turn allowing them to become self-sufficient and more independent.
Expressing pride in their dedicated workforce, Andrew also discussed Shelforce’s aspirations for sustainable growth, aiming to work with their team to develop and implement renewable technologies within the businesses. With many exciting projects in the pipeline, including curtainwalling, kitchens and pivot windows, Shelforce is making positive changes to successfully develop the business for the future.
